Pune: To follow the social distancing norms, Pune Airport has marked the chairs in the waiting areas for a distance of 1.5 meters from each other. It has drawn circles at every checkpoint too. The administration will be strictly following the social distance rules to minimise human contact between passengers and employees after the coronavirus lockdown ends.

“We will be marking and making circles to maintain a safe distance of 1.5 metres inside the premises. The circle and marks will be made at the departure gate, check-in counter, self-check-in kiosks, Security Hold Area (SHA) food outlets and boarding areas too,” said airport Director Kuldeep Singh.

“We have already made marks on the chairs to maintain the distance. After every seat, there is a cross mark which means not to sit on that chair,” said Singh.
