NOIDA: Notices have been issued to five residents of a housing society, which was recently removed from the ‘hotspots list’, after they allegedly circulated messages on WhatsApp raising concerns over the AOA denying home delivery of essentials.
These residents of Hyde Park society in Sector 78 have been slapped the notices by the court of special executive magistrate based on a report by the local police station.
These residents have been asked to produce personal bonds of Rs 30,000 each, along with two sureties of the same amount to maintain peace for six months and appear before the magistrate on May 4.
The residents have, however, alleged that their complaints were genuine and police prepared the report without listening to their side of the story. Sector 49 (SO) Dharmendra Sharmasaid, “These residents were making objectionable comments on the WhatsApp groups by opposing these measures. Some were going out with their vehicles. The sub-inspector went to the spot and found tension between both the parties.”
