A huge gorse fire has been raging near Ruabon overnight, as firefighters had to leave it to burn for their own safety.
The emergency services were first called at 5pm last night to the blaze near Ruabon, near Wrexham.
A crew from Johnstown and another from Llangollen attended the scene and tackled it for several hours, before they were "stood down for their own safety", according to a spokeswoman for North Wales Fire and Rescue.
One crew has been sent to the scene this morning at 7.15am. The blaze reached 5,000 meters square in size at its height.
In Trevor, Wrexham, another huge gorse fire is raging, the three fire crews have been on the scene since around 4am this morning.
