We have taken a decision, if a person is tested positive for Covid-19 and he has provision to isolate himself at his residence, the person can home quarantine himself. Lakhs & lakhs of people can't be quarantined, govt has its own limit

Lockdown impact: Domestic sugar consumption to fall by at least 1mn tonne
According to rating agency ICRA, the national lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic has adversely impacted the sugar demand, resulting in a decline in the sugar prices to closer to minimum support price (MSP) levels of Rs 31 per kg from Rs 32.5 per kg in February 2020. The report further said that the sugar mills are unable to fulfill their monthly sales quota allocated by the government owing to demand squeeze.
CBSE to conduct remaining 10th & 12th exams post lockdown: HRD minister

Chinese test kits: India cancels order, says due process followed
Saying that ICMR identified two companies taking sensitivity and specificity in mind, the Centre has said that as the due process was followed (not going for procurement with 100% advance amount), the government of India does not stand to lose a single rupee. The government released a fact sheet of the procurement process of testing kits from two Chinese companies - Biomedemics and Wondfo - that have been put on hold for now. Read full story
No summons issued, Tablighi chief not an absconder, says his lawyer
Lawyer of Tablighi Jamaat chief Maulana Saad, on Monday, said that Maulana Saad is not an absconder as he has responded to the notices seeking information under Section 91 of the CrPC served by Delhi Police in the Nizamuddin congregation case. A search has already taken place at his residence in Delhi in the presence of his son. His native place in Uttar Pradesh has also been searched in connection with the case. Read full story
