Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad on Thursday reported two new Covid-19 positive cases, taking the number of positive cases in the district to 52, said officials.
The persons who tested positive — a woman and a Tablighi Jamaat member — have been in a quarantine centre at IMS College for the past 10 days. CMO Dr NK Gupta a total of 16 reports were received on Thursday, out of which two were found positive.
The woman from Faridabad had come to Muradnagar to meet her relatives when she was admitted after her health deteriorated. Of 52 patients, 15 have recovered.
Meanwhile, the health department received information that a physiotherapist has been found to be Covid positive. The woman is from Delhi.
A spokesperson for Max Hospital said, “The physiotherapist is a visiting specialist to Max Hospital, Vaishali. She had flu-like symptoms and was screened for Covid–19 earlier this week. After her reports were positive, she was immediately shifted to our Covid-only facility at Max Hospital, Saket...”
The in-charge of a Dasna CHC, Dr Bharat Bhushan, who tested positive on April 11, has been discharged.
