PRAYAGRAJ: Prime Minister
Narendra Modi on Thursday called up former West Bengal governor and UP speaker,
Keshari Nath Tripathi, and asked about his well-being as well as people of
Prayagraj.
Niraj Tripathi, son of 86-year-old former WB governor told TOI, “My father received a call from the PM at around 8.30am and asked him about his well-being”. He further added, "The PM also asked father as to how he is spending his time during lockdown period?"
“My father told the PM that he was reading poems and also trying to pen down some poems during the lockdown period,” Neraj said.
When PM asked about people of Prayagraj, Tripahi told him that the the city was being placed under Green zone as there is currently no positive case here. The former speaker also told him that his son and daughter-in-law were distributing food among poor and needy.
The ex-governor also praised police administration and its arrangements to deal with the situation. A day ago, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called up 106-yeas old former MLA and Jan Sangh stalwart Srinarayan aka Bulai Bhai and sought his blessings in the tough fight against Covid-19.
