Ludhiana: On one side by already serving public during Covid-9 crisis by working full time to fulfil their banking needs, bank employees have now come forward and launched another initiative. On Thursday, a delegation of State the Bank of India Employees’ Union, (SBIEU) led by general secretary Naresh Gaur, general secretary handed over 3,000 face masks to ADCP Deepak Pareek at the police commissioner’s office.
Gaur said, “In the fight against the coronavirus, where every segment and sector is contributing something towards the welfare of society and for the people in need, the All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) is playing its part by providing essential services as well as donating essential goods to the needy in various parts of the country. Fulfilling their social responsibility, SBIEU’s Chandigarh circle donated 3,000 face masks and handed it over to ADCP for the use by police personnel who are working day and night and performing their duties in this hard and challenging situation risking their own lives so that we all can see a better future.”
Gaur also added, “This is just the beginning of our small contribution towards safety and well being of our frontline warriors and we will keep doing such initiatives and fight this pandemic, which is causing such huge damage worldwide.”
