Covid-19 tally crosses 23K mark; here's state-wise list

NEW DELHI: The total number of Covid-19 cases in the country has surged past 23,000-mark, according to the latest data released by health ministry. While 4,749 people have been cured, the death tally has risen to 718. Maharashtra is the the worst-affected with 6,430 cases, followed by Gujarat (2,624) and Delhi (2,376).
On Thursday, the government said that though the number of Covid-19 patients in India is rising, the graph is linear and not exponential and could indicate a flattening of the curve. Country's positive rate remains largely unchanged at 4.5% of those tested even as number of tests conducted daily since March 23 has risen consistently crossing 5,00,000 overall on Wednesday.
