Palanpur: In the first cases of Covid-19 relapse in Gujarat, two patients who had recovered and discharged were again found to be infected with the infection in Patan district on Thursday.
The relapse was reported in a 60-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man, both from Nedra village near Siddhpur town. They were discharged on April 19 along with five others and all were kept in a government quarantine facility as per protocol.
Before being sent home, they were tested again. In the process, the two tested positive late on Wednesday night and were admitted to Dharpur Medical College Hospital in Patan, said DK Parikh, district development officer, Patan. tnn
