Funeral in March reduced by 70 percent
Suman Kumar Gupta, chief manager of Bodh Nigam Bodh, the largest crematorium in Delhi, says that on average, 2,000 funerals are performed in a month, but there has been a reduction of about 50 to 60 percent since March.

Dr. Rakesh Yadav of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) says that there is a significant decrease in heart attacks. Earlier 25-30 patients used to come to AIIMS every day, but 10 or 15 are coming. According to Dr. Prem Aggarwal, senior cardiologist at GB Pant Hospital in Delhi, the number has now reached two or three as compared to 12 to 15 patients every day.
Air pollution: the heavy downfall
According to a study, in 2017, 12.4 lakh people died due to air pollution. In many cities of the country including Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, and Noida, the pollution level is more than 300 AQI but has decreased after the lockdown.
According to the Meteorological Department, the average level of pollution in these cities has been recorded between 80 and 100. Senior Dr. Arvind Kumar of Sir Gangaram Hospital said that clean and clean air is affecting the health of the people.
