NAGPUR: Maharashtra home minister
Anil Deshmukh, Nagpur police commissioner BK Upadhyay, Zonal DCP Rahul Maknikar and others inspected Shatranjipura sealing at
Sunil Hotel Chowk at Lakkadganj and also discussed about the enforcement of lockdown plan in the backdrop of Covid-19 threat.
Home minister Deshmukh had keenly reviewed the sealing point of the
Shantranjipura containment area where at least 55 Covid-19 positive patients have been found.
Deshmukh asked about the police deployment and measures being taken to enforce the sealing at the cut-off points. He also had asked about the family details of the Covid-19 patients and their possible connections to the
Tabhligi jamaat at Nizamuddin.
CP Deshmukh, zonal DCP Maknikar and Senior PI Narendra Hiware of Lakadganj police station explained Deshmukh about the police deployments and also measures like public announcements through volunteers like Covid Yodhha scheme.
Deshmukh later took a tour of the entire city crossing the crucial junctions of Jagnade chowk, Manewada Chowk, Chhatrapati chowk, Rahate Colony square, Deekshabhoomi chowk, Shankarnagar chowk, Law college Square and some more places before returning to his office.
