How to know if you are close to a Coronavirus patient

The Coronavirus pandemic has disrupted the way we live, in addition to restricting them to their homes. Whenever we step out for groceries and other essentials, there is always a chance of coming in contact with someone who may have Coronavirus.

To help people know if they have crossed paths with someone who has tested positive, the government of India introduced the Aarogya Setu app. However, the app does not allow you to see how close you are to a Coronavirus patient.

State governments have been releasing district-wise information about Coronavirus patients. However, it is not possible to find out if someone near your home has tested positive for the deadly disease.

That’s where IndiaSmile, a non-profit initiative by NATACO, comes in. IndiaSmile developed a tool that depends on crowdsourced data to help you determine how close you are to a Coronavirus patient. You can also contribute here. However, the data is crowdsourced and may not be accurate, and is not official .
