Two people were arrested on Thursday morning in connection with the alleged attack on Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami and his wife while they were returning home from their studios late Wednesday night.
An FIR has been registered under section 341 and section 504 of the Indian Penal Code, the police said.
Earlier, in a five-minute video message, shared by Republic TV, Goswami alleged two bike-borne people intercepted his car on their way back home and threw some liquid on the windshield of his car.
Goswami said his securitypersons had told him that the attackers were "Youth Congress workers." The editor also targetted the Vadra and Nehru-Gandhi families in his video message which was shared by his network on social media.
