Telangana govt warns firms against misuse of employee passes

HYDERABAD: The state government has issued orders instructing organisations to issues passes only to employee and no one else, including senior citizens, pregnant women and people having underlying medical conditions.
It was also instructed that exact dates and timings should be mentioned on the Covid-19 duty passes.
Additionally, if employees live in containment clusters, passes will not be issued to them. Also, as per norms, if the house of the person falls within three kms radius of containment zone, duty pass should not be issued.
The passes are issued by organisations to employees to provide to police personnel, if commuters are stopped. The pass proforma includes name of the employee, address of the office, date, working hours and routes . The pass is signed by head of the department of the organisation and the with the official stamp of the organisation.
The government has also ordered organisations to sanitise their premises and ensure that all employees follow social distancing norms.
The norms rolled out by the general administration department also mandates that meetings shall only be done via video conference.
Ensuring atleast six feet distance form employee to employee and ensuing there are no gatherings in cafeteria were also part of rules that need to be followed.
