GURUGRAM: The directorate of
education has decided to make the process of government
school admissions
online and has said that it will need to be completed by April 30.
The process will be live on the school portal for students who have been promoted to the next
class. Parents will be notified and sent guidelines regarding the procedure through WhatsApp, SMS or email.
The government has said no student should be left out and that for
admission to Class 9, no admission fees should be charged during the lockdown period.
“The process is online, and neither the parents nor the students have to be called to schools. There will be no physical submission of documents for admission as the social distancing needs to be maintained,” said an education official.
The process will have be carried out by the school staff in collaboration with members of the school management committee. T
