HYDERABAD: Despite the suspension of passenger train services between March 25 and May 7, South Central Railway (SCR) has assured its employees, both permanent and contract, that it would release full salaries for the month of April.
“All the railway employees have been paid their salaries for the month of March and being a national transporter we have no plan to cut neither salary nor allowances of the loco pilots, engineers and other employees. If there are any issues of delay in payment, we are dealing with them at an individual level,” Ch Rakesh, chief public relations officers, SCR, told TOI.
Meanwhile, SCR achieved a feat during the lockdown by transporting 1,507 tonnes of parcels in a nine-day period. This is the second-highest transportation of parcels amongst all zones.
