Several people feared dead after crash on Eastern Freeway
Police officers fear their colleagues may be among those killed in a horror crash involving multiple vehicles on the Eastern Freeway.
Emergency services were called to the freeway, near the Burke Road exit in Kew, after reports at least one police car and a semi-trailer had collided about 5.40pm on Wednesday.

Aerial vision from the scene shows a large number of emergency service vehicles on site, including two fire trucks as well as a semi-trailer with debris scattered in its wake for more than 100 metres.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area with significant delays expected.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman described the scene as "dynamic".
"Emergency services are currently responding to a collision in Kew tonight," she said.
"At this stage it is believed multiple vehicles are involved in the collision ... and a number of police officers are believed to have been involved.
"The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined at this stage."
