A young female cheerleading coach accused of child sex offences against a girl in her care will strongly fight the charge which she says stems from a 'jealous rivalry'.
The 22-year-old woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday over one count of persistent sexual exploitation.
The woman is accused of several acts of inappropriate touching between 2015 and 2017, as well as allegedly showing videos to the victim, ABC reported.
Lawyer Craig Caldicott told reporters outside court his client would plead not guilty and fight the charge.

'There was a switching of clubs and the allegations came out after the new club had been formed,' Mr Caldicott said.
'It appears as though there may have been jealous rivalry that happened.'
Mr Caldicott the charge would be 'strongly contested and hard fought'.
He added the allegations, which 'appeared to go back a long way', left his client feeling very upset and interfered with her being allowed to work.
Documents filed to the court by South Australia Police allege the offences took place between August 2015 and December 2017, the Adelaide Advertiser reported.
Police allege there were at least three sexual acts against a female minor, including inappropriate touching and kissing.
The woman, who was charged in March, is also accused of allegedly showing the victim videos with sexually inappropriate content.
The matter will be in court again in July.
