Wales' health minister Vaughan Gething will give today's Welsh Government briefing.
It comes after UK Government Health Secretary Matt Hancock denied the UK took a "political decision" not to take part in European Union schemes to secure equipment to combat coronavirus.
He was forced to issue the denial after the Foreign Office's top civil servant, Sir Simon McDonald, made the claim to the Commons foreign affairs committee on Tuesday.
However, the official later made a U-turn when he wrote to the committee to say he had been "incorrect" and reverted to the Government's defence that the scheme was not initially joined because of a "communication problem".
Mr Hancock had to deny that politics had been involved in the decision and said he had signed-off on joining continental efforts to procure more personal protection equipment (PPE) and ventilators.
Speaking at Downing Street's daily Covid-19 press briefing, Mr Hancock said: "I haven't seen that exchange but I have spoken to the Foreign Secretary (Dominic Raab) and as far as I'm aware there was no political decision not to participate in that scheme."
Meanwhile Mr Gething has said Wales only has enough personal protective equipment (PPE) to last "a few days".
He tsaid: "We have enough stocks of all items to last us for a few days, partly because of the mutual aid we've received from other UK countries, partly because of the UK supplies that have come in.
"But we're not in a position to say we have weeks and weeks of advance stock on all of those items. And that's why I'm certainly not at all complacent or blase about where we are.
"Just because we're not in the position England found itself in on the weekend, that does not mean there are no concerns here. There are very real concerns here in the government."
The UK death toll has risen to 17,408 after 873 more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours - a huge rise after lower figures at the weekend.
A further 25 people have died after testing positive for coronavirus in Wales, bringing the total number to 609.
Public Health Wales today recorded 304 new known cases, meaning 7,850 people have tested positive for the disease in Wales, although the actual number is likely to be much higher.

The Welsh government looks set to implement stricter clamp downs on people visiting their second homes, the First Minister has confirmed, amid calls to maintain the current lockdown until at least mid-May.

Dead bodies wont be collected without PPE
A lack of PPE may prevent bodies of coronavirus victims being collected, according to a group which represents funeral directors.
The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors said its members were struggling to get sufficient supplies of PPE.
The group's chief executive, Terry Tennens, said funeral directors were "forgotten" key workers.
He said: "It's a major concern but if you can't fulfil the safe removal of the deceased, there's a real serious problem.
"If our members end up falling sick, it could mean funeral homes will close if they haven't got fit staff. This could result in them being unable to pick up the bodies of the deceased."
The Welsh Government said: "We are aware of some issues relating to the distribution of PPE for funeral directors and are working to resolve them as soon as possible."

Kids may have to re-sit the school year
Year 10 and 12 pupils may have to re-sit a year of school after missing so much of their GCSE and A-level courses, the former chief inspector has said.
Sir Michael Wilshaw, who was head of Ofsted until 2016, believes students have missed out on so much of their course it wouldn't be fair to make them sit exams next summer.
The UK Government cancelled exams for this summer and all students due to take their GCSEs and A-levels would instead receive predicted grades.
But so far, there are no special arrangements in place for students who would ordinarily take these exams next summer.
