PRAYAGRAJ: As 30 per cent
employees have been asked to register their attendance in offices following opening of various central government and state departments in the
lockdown period, senior police officials have asked the heads of these departments to take travel history of their employees and their family members, especially those coming to the city from different parts of the state to join duty.
“Following opening of government departments in the lockdown period, we have asked heads of the government departments to call minimum staff and maintain social distancing norms strictly and advise employees to use masks”, said IG police KP Singh, while talking to TOI. The departmental heads have also been advised to take travel history of those employees and their family members who have arrived from other parts of the state to join duties, he added.
He also asked heads of departments to conduct thermal tests or rapid diagnostic test of employees entering the city limits to join duties.
Meanwhile, the police teams, deployed at inter-state and inter-district borders, conducted strict checking and took action against 12 persons who made abortive bid to enter into the limits of
Prayagraj district on fake reasons.
Police continued patrolling of the city streets on Wednesday and conducted checking at crossings and inter-sections to prevent people to come on roads. As many as 42 people have been booked for violating lockdown rules while 31 people have been arrested after eight FIRs were lodged against them under section 188 of the
Indian Penal Code, which deals with violations of section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code.
