The central government has decided to start a telephone survey, under which you will get a call from the 1921 number. You will be interviewed about Corona on this call. With its help, the government will reach out to more and more people. The data may prove useful for future studies.
The Center has written to all the states and union territories to start it. The Center has asked the states and Union Territories through media to convey the intention of this survey to the public and beware of the prank in its name. People have also appealed to cooperate on the call from the 1921 number.
A similar survey was also recently done by the National Council of Applied Economic Research. The survey focused on the first and second weeks of the lockdown. As many as 1750 people from urban and rural areas of Delhi NCR were phoned and informed about the methods of rescue. According to the report of the first phase of the survey, 55 percent of the people involved in the survey were unable to tell about the three symptoms of the corona.
