B&Q has revealed a list of 61 stores to open around the UK - and will soon make a decision on its North Wales units.

Over the weekend, the DIY favourite revealed it was planning on reopening 14 of its stores.

Then today they said that after a successful trial run, it will be reopening 61 stores.

There are no North Wales stores on the list but it is hoped that a decision on those sites is imminent.

The chain has stores in Bangor, Llandudno, Rhyl and Wrexham.

A B&Q spokeswoman said: "We are reviewing the current openings before making any decisions about re-opening more stores, including those in North Wales"

They added that "strict social distancing measures" would be in place in all stores that do reopen.

The DIY chain has been closed since the end of March after the UK was put into lockdown, although customers have been able to use click and collect services to purchase goods.

There are plans for two metre floor markers throughout stores to help people keep their distance and perspex screens at the checkouts.
