5 new suspected cases of COVID in state

Five new suspected cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic have been reported in Goa on Tuesday.
All the five patients were quarantined at the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, immediately after they were found showing symptoms of COVID-19. A total of 11 patients suspected of having COVID-19 are currently in the isolation ward at the GMC.


As per the media bulletin issued by the directorate of health services, of the 149 samples, 81 tested negative for the virus while reports of the remaining 68 samples are still awaited.
On Tuesday, 16 more people were placed under quarantine; around 1794 people have isolated themselves in their homes in the state.


At present, 27 persons have been quarantined at the Margao Residency, two persons at Mapusa Residency and nine people have been isolated at the Old Goa Residency.
Nineteen persons have also been quarantined at the Mayem Residency.
