Reliance Industries Ltd gained 6.8% today to trade at Rs 1320.05. The S&P BSE Energy index is up 4.67% to quote at 4195.87. The index is up 38.45 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Goa Carbon Ltd increased 4.98% and Confidence Petroleum India Ltd added 2.83% on the day. The S&P BSE Energy index went down 13.88 % over last one year compared to the 20.24% fall in benchmark SENSEX.

On the BSE, 3.27 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 123.05 lakh shares in the past one month.
