12 more test Covid-19 positive in Kalyan-Dombivli, number of patients reaches 97

KALYAN: Twelve more persons have tested Covid-19 positive from Kalyan-Dombivli on Wednesday, taking total patients in the region to 97.
The twelve new patients includes one 36-year-old policeman and a nurse of government hospital in Mumbai, while three other elder patients are already taking dialysis treatment.
The health department of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation said out of 12 patients, eight are from Dombivli area, which has so far witnessed 63 Covid-19 cases out of total 97 patients in Kalyan-Dombivli.
The health department officials said out of 12 patients, four were residing at their workplaces in Mumbai and Thane where they got infected and after they detected Covid-19 positive they got hospitalised in different private hospitals in Mumbai. The health team are now searching for all patients close contacts and also sanitising areas from where patients are found.
So far in Kalyan-Dombivli, three patients have died of Covid-19, while 33 got discharged after treatment. The remaining 61 patients are still undergoing treatment in hospitals.
