In Gzb, 2nd cancer patient tests +ve

Ghaziabad: A woman undergoing cancer treatment and three members of Tablighi Jamaat tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday. On Sunday, too, a cancer patient had tested positive. Ghaziabad now has 46 cases.
The woman, 37, lives in an Indirapuram highrise. “She had undergone a surgery for cancer and was being treated at a Delhi hospital. She was tested a few days ago, before she was admitted to a private hospital in Delhi. She is now in that hospital’s isolation ward,” chief medical officer NK Gupta said.
The tower of the society she lives in with her family, not the entire society, has been sealed. Her family has been asked to quarantine at home and samples 10 contacts have been collected.
The three Tablighi Jamaat members who tested positive are from Kolkata and had been staying at mosques in Loni and Pasonda. “All of them had been at a quarantine centre (at Janhit College) for three weeks, so we don’t need to trace the chain of contact,” the chief medical officer said. They have now been moved to the isolation ward at ESI Hospital in Rajendra Nagar.
