Man beaten to death for attempting rape in Jungadh

RAJKOT: A man was beaten to death after he allegedly tried to rape a woman in Bhuvneshwari Society of Daulatpara locality in Jungadh on early Monday morning.
Police said, Babu Patel and his son, attacked Mansukh Mandaviya (32) with bats and iron pipes. Mandaviya was taken to Junagadh Civil Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
“Our preliminary investigation revealed that Mandaviya had stealthily entered into Patel’s house, and sneaking into his daughter’s room, he had allegedly tried to rape her,” said Pradeepsinh Jadeja, Junagadh deputy superintendent of police.
He said, when the survivor raised a cry, Patel and his son attacked Mandaviya.
Mandaviya used to live with his mother. After divorcing his first wife, he married for the second time. However, his second wife had walked out on him.
