FALL RIVER — The city added another five positive cases of COVID-19 for a total of 189 on Tuesday.
In addition, Mayor Paul Coogan said 115 individuals have now been cleared from quarantine.
There were no new deaths among Fall River residents, leaving the number of fatalities at three since last week.
In Bristol County, 73 new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed Tuesday for a total of 1,852.
Plymouth County has reached a total of 3,053 cases, with 77 of those newly diagnosed in the past day.
Another eight Bristol County residents died in the past day for a total of 96 deaths. Seven died in Plymouth County for a total of 141.
The state now has 4,199 cases of the novel coronavirus, with 1,556 of those cases diagnosed in the past day.
Statewide there have been 1,961 fatalities, with 152 residents passing in the last 24 hours.
The number of residents hospitalized from the virus has reached 3,872.
Locally, there were 31 patients at Charlton Memorial Hospital, including 10 in the intensive care unit. Saint Anne’s Hospital reported one patient hospitalized.
St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford had 56 people in the hospital Tuesday, with 14 in the ICU.
Morton Hospital in Taunton counted 84 patients in the hospital with 12 in the ICU. Brockton Hospital had 98 hospitalized and 18 in the ICU.
The state reported a total of 7,044 cases of COVID-19 in 265 long-term care facilities.
There were none in facilities in Fall River or neighboring towns, or in New Bedford or Taunton, as of Tuesday.
