Health authorities conduct thermal screening of 35 cops in Kanpur

Officials conduct mass screening of cops at CHC Kakwan on Monday
KANPUR: The health authorities on Monday conducted thermal screening of 35 police personnel of Kakwan police station. The staff of Community Health Centre Kakwan besides conducting mass screening of the cops also examined 200 persons.District magistrate Brahmadeo Ram Tiwari had recently issued a direction for the medical examination of the cops deployed at community and primary health centres and quarantine centres.
A couple of days ago, some senior police officials had suggested to examine the cops and police personnel who are giving their services at the quarantine centres and hospitals where suspected corona cases are being treated for the last fifteen days.
In response to the request of DIG/SSP, CMO Dr Ashok Shukla had constituted a six-member medical team led by the medical superintendent.
The team conducted thermal screening of about 80 families of the cops asked them to take necessary precautionary measures. The team suggested to the cops and their families not to observe fast, stay in sunlight for at least one hour in the morning, avoid use of air-conditioners, consume warm water, consume a lot of fresh fruits and take warm milk with turmeric.
