Soon, an online school youth fest

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State Information Technology & Multilateral Industrial Co-Operative Society Limited (Sitmicos) is organizing an online school youth festival. Irrespective of the syllabus they follow, all school students in the state can participate in the festival. Organizers say that they would like to hold such a festival every year.
Students from Class 1 to 12 can participate in the festival. The online youth festival may help to reduce the mental stress that students and their parents undergo during the lockdown due to coronavirus that restricts free movement and interaction.
All participants would be given certificates, and winners would be honoured with trophy, cash award and certificates. Those who win the highest points would be eligible for Kala Thilakam and Kala Prathibha titles. Schools with the highest number of participants would also be given trophies. The society, in a statement, said it has so far received 986 entries. Last date for submitting entries is May 4. Students need not submit undertakings by school authorities; they would need to submit the same for prize collection. Those who submit non-original works or doctored footages would be disqualified.
