Pune: The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI) has proposed to set up an advanced ICU (Intensive Care Unit) at PMC’s Dalvi Hospital in Shivajinagar.

The draft proposal was made under the guidance of CREDAI Pune Metro President Suhas Merchant. The proposal was recently submitted to Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Gaikwad by representatives of CREDAI Pune Metro, including IP Inamdar and Tejraj Patil.

Additional Municipal Commissioner Rubal Agarwal, city engineer Prashant Waghmare and Electrical Department Chief Engineer Shrinivas Kandul were present. CREDAI Pune Metro decided to set up the ICU to improve the public healthcare infrastructure and to join the fight against coronavirus

Tejraj Patil said, “Since the Municipal Commissioner has accepted the proposal, work for setting up this modern ICU at the Dalvi Hospital has begun and is expected to be completed in next 15 days. The estimated cost of setting up this ICU is around Rs 1 crore, and CREDAI Pune Metro would bear the entire cost.”

This advanced ICU will have beds, ventilators, defibrillators, among other equipment to make it a fully functioning ICU unit.
