*In the fight against coronavirus, Delhi government is focusing on tracing, testing and treatment, with teams conducting rapid tests on people living in containment and highrisk zones and showing minor symptoms.
The government eyes over 40,000 tests by the end of this week. Till Sunday, 24,387 tests had been conducted.
*Under its contingency plan, in case the number of infected people crosses 30,000, Delhi government will convert hotels and banquet halls into temporary medical wards to accommodate patients.

*A week after it put several restrictions to maintain social distancing, Delhi government decided to open Asia’s biggest fruit and vegetable wholesale market in north Delhi’s Azadpur round-the-clock from Tuesday.
*At Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital, 150 of 195 admitted patients similarly exhibited only moderate symptoms, figure at Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital being 50 of 53 patients, revealed the government survey.
*The government survey revealed that of the 793 patients admitted in Lok Nayak Hospital, 562 had moderate symptoms.
*The new Covid care centres in Delhi are equipped to handle corona patients in need of moderate medical care.
*The rising number of positive cases is a big challenge for Delhi government and a highlevel meeting recently decided to “shift Covid-19 patients with mild/moderate symptoms to Covid Care Centres as per the latest guidelines”.
*Government flats and dharamshalas in Delhi have turned into temporary hospitals to accommodate the evergrowing number of Covid-19 patients.
As many as 840 coronavirus positive people have been shifted from hospitals to vacant government flats and dharamshala. As of Monday evening, Delhi had 2,081 Covid-19 patients.
