Terrorists opened fire at a policeman attached to the Jammu and Kashmir police in Anantnag on Sunday. The policeman suffered injuries and was rushed to a nearby local hospital but succumbed to fatal bullet wounds on the way.

This is the second such attack to have been reported from Jammu and Kashmir over the past 48 hours. In the last two days, four security forces personnel have been killed in two separate attacks in the union territory.
