Punjab: 59 bottles of liquor seized in Patiala

LUDHIANA: The police have booked four persons in two separate cases for allegedly supplying illegal liquor in Patiala.
The police said both the accused were nabbed during police checking. The police also booked these accused under sections of curfew violations and Disaster Management Act besides registering a case against them under relevant Sections of the Excise Act. The accused have been identified as Karam Singh and Kuldip Singh of Patiala and the police claimed to have recovered 24 bottles of illegal liquor from their possession. Similarly, Urban Estate Patiala police have booked two accused, identified as Rajat Kishore and Jony of Patiala, under sections of curfew violation and Excise Act. The police said the accused were nabbed during the police checking and 35 bottles of illegal liquor were recovered from their possession.
