KSFPD to implement 'No Mask, No Fuel' rule at retail outlets in Karnataka

MANGALURU: Karnataka State Federation of Petroleum Dealers has rallied behind a call given by All India Petroleum Dealers Association, New Delhi, the national body, of not dispensing fuel to motorists who arrive at retail outlets without a mask. AIPDA had given the call of ‘No mask, No fuel’ and KSFPD has decided to follow this in all retail outlets and Karnataka, Hosabale S Manjappa, president, KSFPD, stated in a release on Sunday.
Petroleum dealers have been supporting state government and the district administration in fight against the global pandemic. In the interest of the safety of dealer salesmen who are highly vulnerable to contract the virus from customers, the AIPDA has launched the ‘No mask, No fuel’ mainly to protect their health. The culture of wearing a mask is most essential in the present scenario and it is our duty to educate the common man in this regard, Manjappa said.
Petroleum dealers of the nation have taken up the responsibility to impress on general public the importance of a mask in this fight against Covid-19 during lockdown and beyond that. Basic awareness by way of this campaign of "No Mask No Fuel" is the state federation’s idea to imbibe healthy sanitation habits, Manjappa said, seeking the cooperation and support of all stakeholders in ensuring its success and keep the pandemic at bay.
