Your weekly curation of WFH ’fits, fashionable throwbacks and viral challenges
From webcam shoots to gold ol’ throwbacks, the stars keep showing us their fashionable side during the lockdown in innovative ways. Kareena Kapoor Khan, for starters, couldn’t have picked a better time to resurface an old picture of her starry girl gang (comprising of sister Karisma Kapoor and close friends Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora Ladak), which came with a cheeky caption. All sharply dressed, the foursome had many fans wishing they had a series of their own. Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor and sister Khushi Kapoor put on ‘90s-style spin for their “Who’s More Likely To” TikTok video, which instantly made it to several fan Instagram accounts, and Athiya Shetty made pyjamas look cool during a digital photo session at her Mumbai home.
Across the world, a new fashion challenge has taken over Instagram—but it doesn’t actually require any dressing up. Instead, fashion folk are belting pillows to their bodies to function as minidresses from home, and the results are delightful. Most recently, Halle Berry posted her all-black version, taking it up a level. Joining industry insiders for the #RunwayforRelief fundraiser was model-turned-author Maye Musk, strutting in her apartment in black and gold.
Meanwhile, Mindy Kailing and Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness are satiating their fashion cravings with constructed looks for work, or no work at all. Bella Hadid took a nature walk dressed in customised hand-painted jeans by fellow model Juliet Johnstone, and Jennifer Lopez, Hailey Beiber and Cardi B had some interesting fashion moments this week too.
