Trever Frickey, President, Boulevardia said in a press statement that providing a safe, secure and healthy environment for the pop-up party nation is the organiser’s top priority. He mentioned that Boulevardia is being cancelled for 2020 keeping the health and safety of people in mind. He informed that Boulevardia is comprised of dozens of community partners, vendors, restaurants, musicians, charities, and creators. He shared that it is an incredibly challenging time for all as every individual involved with the festival would be impacted due to the cancellation.
He further added that the Kansas City community would come together like nowhere else and get through the difficult phase by supporting each other. He also shared that the festival organisers are looking forward to bring all the beer, food, music and fun back next year. The decision to cancel the event was undertaken with the goal of allowing the Kansas City community time to focus on their health and well-being and in the interest of bringing the festival back in 2021.
The organisers will also refund any money that has been invested in the festival. All ticket packages purchased through the official website will be automatically refunded within 10-14 business days. Hotel rooms that were booked directly through one of the festival’s hotel partners with the promotional room rate will also be automatically cancelled. No action to request for cancellation would be required from the side of the guest.
Boulevardia believes that the comeback is stronger than the setback and has pledged that the festival and the community will return stronger than ever before.
