Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday donated one crore rupees and one month salary from his MLA Local Area Development to the PM Cares Fund of Corona Virus.

UP ministers Suresh Rana and Anil Rajbhar and Apna Dal MLA Ashish Patel also donated Rs 1 crore from their local area development fund to the COVIDCARE Fund. The state government has started this fund to fight coronavirus.

BSP chief Mayawati had also asked her party MLAs to donate money and CM Yogi Adityanath later called to thank them.

Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma donated Rs 1 crore from his local area development fund and 2 months' salary to PM-CARE and CM Relief Fund. He donated Rs 25 lakh each to Agra and Rae Bareli, the districts in which he is the minister in charge.
