Amid prevalent chaos and uncertainty over access to the essential services and commodities during the lockdown, we bring you the latest updates from Delhi.
*As the number of containment zones to fight the novel coronavirus keeps increasing in the capital, the municipal corporations are struggling to cope with the shortage of manpower on the ground. Now the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has deployed its gardeners as helping hands in contact tracing and disinfection drives.
*The three municipal corporations in the city have demanded a package of Rs 2,200 crore from Delhi government to deal with Covid-19 pandemic and looming dengue threat.
*Two constables deployed at the Chandni Mahal police station have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. They were deployed at a picket outside the mosque from where several Covid-19 positive persons had been evacuated recently.

*Delhi government has launched a 24x7 free online medical consultation service in the capital to help patients connect with doctors remotely via a mobile application for their non-emergency medical needs. With CallDoc mobile app, patients can easily consult with general physicians as well as specialists from home.
*An infant born to a Covid-19 positive mother, wife of a senior resident doctor at AIIMS who had also tested positive, has tested negative for the disease. Hospital sources said the baby’s mother is asymptomatic, but is still positive for Covid-19. “The infant is doing well,” said a senior doctor.
*All patients seeking admission to Max hospitals will now have to undergo Covid-19 testing. This includes persons who do not have any disease symptoms and are seeking admission for non-Covid-19 problems, the hospital chain said.

*Families in 72 houses in a locality in Delhi's south district have been told to observe self-quarantine after a delivery boy associated with a famous pizza chain tested positive for Covid-19, a district magistrate of South Delhi said on Wednesday.
