With no new cars being launched or sold for the past few weeks, we're indulging our readers with some loud, fast, and beautiful four-wheeled machines. 

The world's biggest motoring show, 'Top Gear', has had access to some awesome supercars over the past three seasons including the Ferrari 488 Pista, McLaren P1, McLaren 720S, Honda NSX and possibly one of the best supercars of the last 10 years: the Porsche GT2RS.

All these cars offer something different, yet some aspects are similar. They are all insanely fast, manufactured with lightweight materials, and powered by state-of-the-art engines. 

In fact, the NSX and McLaren represent a new breed of hybrid-assisted performance cars that offer electric power to compliment the normal combustion engine, seeking to eliminate turbo lag and add torque fill. 

Supercars have always garnered our imagination because they are pretty close to a street-legal racing car - a racing car with numberplates if you will.
