India has been in a state of lockdown to stem the spread of COVID-19 for almost a month now, and the motto everyone seems to be following at home, stars included, is ‘get busy’. For many, baking seems to have become the new must-try activity, with many whipping up scrumptious treats for their families. From Deepika Padukone to Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, everyone is putting their culinary skills to test. Here's a look at what's been cooking in the homes of your favourite Bollywood stars.

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja joins Pooja Dhingra on video call for a baking session

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, who married Anand Ahuja in May 2018, is currently practicing social distancing in Delhi, and the Neerja actor has been spending a lot of her time away from the public treating her family with homemade baked treats. Last week, the Bollywood star made a chocolate walnut cake, and yesterday, she also got on a video call with close friend Pooja Dhingra for a special cooking session. This time around, it was Kapoor Ahuja who was helping the chef with some cooking pointers. Together, the duo worked on a new recipe for banana bread, and Dhingra made sure to share snippets from their video call on her Instagram page.

A peek at Alia and Shaheen Bhatt's bake-off

Alia Bhatt, who is currently in self-quarantine with one of her favourite people, sister Shaheen Bhatt, has also been spending quite a bit of time in her kitchen these days. Most recently, the siblings dove into a fun bake-off. While Shaheen aced an indulgent chocolate cake, the Gangubhai Kathiawadi star tried to put together a slightly healthier dessert: “grain free paleo banana bread.” Over the past week, Alia Bhatt was also seen making a pudding for herself at home. 

Did you miss Deepika Padukone's sponge cake toppings?

Social distancing together in their Mumbai residence, Deepika Padukone and husband Ranveer Singh have been keeping busy by working out, organising their home, and enjoying different cuisines together. From pizzas to pastas and Thai curries, Padukone has been whipping up some must-see dishes every week. Every couple of days, Singh makes it a point to take his fans through his dinner menu, and if you've got a sweet tooth, you can't have missed the fluffy sponge cake the star recently made. To take the dessert to the next level, Padukone and Singh topped off the cake with scoops of vanilla ice-cream, generous doses of Nutella, and a sprinkling of cookie crumbs.

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor are one of the most followed couples in Bollywood. Despite being away from the public, the two have been keeping their fans updated about their at-home activities, and it looks like a lot of their time is currently bring spent in the kitchen. Days after Shahid tried out his cooking skills and whipped up a scrumptious breakfast for Mira Rajput Kapoor, the mother-of-two treated her family to a classic marble cake. And that's not all! Recently, Mira Rajput Kapoor also nailed a banoffee pie. Check it out below.
