FIR against 50 people for violating lockdown in Muzaffarnagar

Fifty people, including a local BJP leader, have been booked for violation of the nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus, police said on Wednesday.

An FIR was registered against Hanipal, who is also a ward member of the nagar palika here, on Tuesday.

The police said 2,526 people have so far been booked for violation of lockdown in the district.

A total of 541 cases have been registered against 2,526 people for violation of lockdown. Besides 12,480 vehicle owners have been fined and 1,121 vehicles seized, they said.
