According to the Finance Ministry, 5.29 crore beneficiaries have been given free ration in the form of food grains under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. Also, 3,985 MT of pulses has been sent to various states and union territories for distribution. Apart from this, Rs. 14946 crore has been sent to 7.47 crore farmers of the country as the first installment under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana.
Finance Ministry Secretary Rajesh Malhotra informed that monitoring is being done at the highest level for the fast implementation of the Prime Minister's Poor Welfare Package. He said that till April 13, more than 32 crores poor have been given cash support of Rs 29,352 crore under the package.
97.8 lakh gas cylinders have been given to the beneficiaries under the Prime Minister Ujjwala scheme. 2.1 lakh EPFO members have withdrawn Rs 510 crore online. 19.86 crore women have been sent Rs 9930 crore to their Jan Dhan account. A number of Rs 1400 crore has been given to 2.82 widows, Divyang and old age homes. So far, Rs 3071 crore has been sent to registered laborers for construction work of 2.17 crore buildings, etc.
