After Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced extension of coronavirus lockdown till May 3, Congress leader DK Shivakumar said that they expected an economic package from the PM. While speaking to ANI, DK Shivakumar said, “We respect whatever direction he has given and we are ready to cooperate. But it is very unfortunate and is shocking to all of us. We expected an economic package. We wanted economic strength to the country, strength to the farmers, strength to the labourers. We agree on all health issues and we respect the sentiments, his concerns. But at the same time, the people of this country want to be very stable on economic front. No packages, incentives or policies have been announced. This is unfortunate.”
