Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the countrymen regarding the lockdown. PM Modi announced the lockdown 2.0 and said that it will now continue till May 3, 2020, in the country. After this, Indian Railways and air services were also announced to be canceled by May 3. During this period, both domestic and international airlines will remain closed.

Ministry of Railways announced

Giving information about this, railway officials said that the railways have decided to discontinue its passenger rail service till May 3. Detailed information will be given soon. Earlier passenger services were suspended till 14 April night. Ministry of Railways said that premium trains, mail/express trains, passenger trains, suburban trains, Kolkata Metro Rail and Konkan Railway, etc. have been suspended till May 3.

People stranded in different parts of the country

It is known that all the passenger trains have been closed to prevent the spread of coronavirus across the country. Only goods trains are being run. In such a situation, many people are trapped in different parts of the country and want to reach their homes, but there is no means of this. Therefore, millions of people are waiting for trains to run.

PM Modi announced

Today PM Modi has said in his address that everyone's suggestion is to increase the lockdown. Many states have already decided to increase lockdown. Friends, keeping in mind all the suggestions, it has been decided that the lockdown in India will now have to be increased by May 3. That is, till May 3, all of us, every countryman will have to remain in lockdown. During this time, we have to follow the discipline in the same way as we have been doing.
