With just few hours left to the much-awaited smartphone launch of this year, Chinese smartphone manufacturer
OnePlus is all set to mesmerise tech enthusiasts with its online-only launch event today at 8:30 pm Indian Standard Time amidst the lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The tech experts around the world have been speculating specs and prices of the upcoming 2020 OnePlus series. It is believed that OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and possibly a budget-friendly variant - OnePlus 8 Lite - is expected to launch.
In an official tweet, the premium smartphone company showed a slim form factor, the familiar alert slider, and curved edges in the new OnePlus series.
Last month, the smartphone-maker launched its new logo, which it will use on its upcoming 2020 OnePlus 8 series. Additionally, the company's CEO
Pete Lau also confirmed that the upcoming series will support 5G-connectivity.

The Oneplus 8 series devices are expected to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and Android 10 bits.
As per the recently spotted prototype of OnePlus 8 Pro, one could see a dual punch-hole display and a curved display just like its older sibling OnePlus 7 Pro.
In the back panel, the device was seen sporting a quad-camera setup. Three lenses were arranged in a vertical strip along with an LED flash, and the fourth camera was placed on the side. The experts believe that the quad-camera will have an ultra-wide angle shooter, a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom support and a primary camera. The resolution of the camera is not known, it was understood that two of them will have 48-megapixel sensors.
The upcoming OnePlus 8 series will feature 120Hz Fluid display, faster LPDDR5 RAM, and may come with a hole-punch selfie camera.
The back panel, according to the images released by the smartphone company, will come with a gradient, matte finish. The OnePlus 8 Pro may also be dust-and waterproof, and sport a 4,510mAh battery.

According to GadgetsNow, the price of
OnePlus 8 in India is expected to be at Rs 49,999 onwards in Onyx Black and Glacial Green colours, and the
OnePlus 8 Pro is likely to cost Rs 64,999 in Onyx Black, Ultramarine Blue and Glacial Green colour variants.

One of the OnePlus phones will support the Warp Charge 30 Wireless feature. The OnePlus 8 Pro is also expected to support 30W fast wired charging. According to the company, the charger claims to be charge the device from 1 per cent to 50 per cent in 30 minutes.
The wireless charging technology will be compatible with all Qi wireless chargers at 5W and 10W for phones that support the faster extended power profile (EPP) standard. It is unclear if the new Warp Charge 30 Wireless charger will come with OnePlus 8 Pro or sell separately.
