Amid growing cases of coronavirus, Athagaon Kabarsthan Masjid and Spanish Garden complex have been declared as containment zones in Assam’s Guwahati. The decision was taken after at least three positive cases in the state were linked to a meeting held at the mosque on March 12 while residential building is declared as containment zone after a resident was found COVID-19 positive. Security personnel were also deployed in the areas. Being declared a containment zone means that no one will be allowed to enter or exit the place for the next 14 days. 31 positive cases of coronavirus have been reported in Assam as of now.
