Coronavirus: ‘This too shall pass,’ Rajinikanth tweets

CHENNAI: Actor Rajinikanth on Tuesday greeted people on the occasion of Tamil New Year’s Day while his fellow actor Kamal Haasan remembered Dr B R Ambedkar whose birth anniversary falls on April 14.
Taking to Twitter, Rajinikanth wished the new year to be pleasant. In the same vein, the actor appreciated scores of members of his Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM), who are staking their lives to serve the people in this time of crisis.
“Follow the norms prescribed by the government and be safe. This too shall pass,” Rajinikanth signed off his tweet in Tamil.
Actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) president Kamal Haasan preferred to remember Dr B R Ambedkar. “It was his dream - to not to differentiate people on the lines of religion, community, language and occupation and to consider everyone equal – that became the Constitution of India and remains the protective gear of individuals. The only way to recognise Ambedkar is to drive away forces that differentiate people in terms of classes,” Kamal tweeted in Tamil.
