Pakistan's coronavirus tally nears 6,000
The number of coronavirus patients in the country rose to 5,988, with 272 new cases and 11 deaths during the last 24 hours. So far, 1,446 people have recovered from the disease and 107 deaths have been reported in the country. The authorities have so far conducted 73,439 tests, including 3,380 in the last 24 hours. National guidelines of COVID-19 management: In manufacturing spaces, frequent cleaning of common surfaces and mandatory hand washing; no overlap of shifts and staggered lunch with social distancing in canteens; intensive communication and training in good hygiene practices
National guidelines of COVID-19 management: All workplaces to have temperature screening & provide sanitisers; Gap of 1 hour between shifts; Persons above 65 & parents of children below 5 may be encouraged to work from home; sanitisation of workplace between shifts; no large meetings
SOPs for workplaces/factories: Medical insurance mandatory for all workers; only 2/4 persons (depending on size) in lifts and hoists; a strict ban on gutka, tobacco and spitting; total ban on non-essential visitors at sites; nearby hospitals to be identified
