CHANDIGARH: To help farmers and arhtiyas (commission agents) during rabi marketing season (RMI) beginning from April 15, Punjab Mandi Board chairperson Lal Singh on Monday announced contact numbers of a state control room set up at the board headquarters in Phase XI, Mohali.

The numbers are for all 22 districts and for the purpose of promptly addressing issues of farmers and arhtiyas during procurement operations in wake of Covid-19. He advised farmers to download ‘epmb mobile app’ of the board to get latest information regarding activities as well as e-passes for wheat procurement. He said the app had already been launched, and would benefit all stakeholders. The spokesperson said board had also created an email ID — wheat.proc2020.ctrl@punjab.gov.in — for this purpose.
